Four more Covid-19 cases confirmed, total rises to 450

VGP – The National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on July 29 has confirmed four more Covid-19 infection cases, bringing the country’s patient tally to 450.

The National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control confirms four more Covid-19 infection cases, bringing the country’s patient tally to 450, July 29, 2020.

Patient 447 is a 23-year old man residing in Nam Tu Liem District, Ha Noi.

He visited Da Nang City from July 12-15. Eight days later, he had cough and fever.

From July 25-28, he isolated himself at place of residence. On July 28, he entered the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for testing.

He has been confirmed positive for the virus on July 29.

Patient 448 is a 21-year old woman in Cu Kuin District, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak. From June 22-July 17 she worked as an intern in Da Nang Hospital.

On July 20, she had fever and sore throat. She has been treated at the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital.

Patient 449 is a 57-year old male US citizen in Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City.

On June 26, he had fever and cough and was hospitalized in Hoan My Da Nang Hospital.

From July 6-20, he was treated at Da Nang Hospital. On July 20, he was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for further treatment.

From July 21-27, he was hospitalized in City International Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.  

Patient 450 is a 46-year old woman. She is the caretaker of the previously-announced COVID-19 patient (patient numbered 449).

At present, 369 among 450 COVID-19 infection cases have been cleared of the virus, accounting for 82%.
