Over 313 nationals brought home from RoK

VGP – The Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the national carrier Viet Nam Airlines worked with the Korean agencies to repatriate 313 Vietnamese nationals from the Northeast Asian country.

Passengers on the flight included children under 18, the elderly, people with chronic diseases, workers with expired visas, students without residence due to the closure of the dormitories and other disadvantaged cases.

Precautious measures were implemented during the flight to prevent transmission of COVID-19. 

After landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, the passengers and crew members were medically checked and quarantined in accordance with the current regulations.

This is the 87th rescue flight arranged since April 10, bringing home 21,705 nationals stranded abroad due to Covid-19.

As of early August 10, Viet Nam confirmed 841 COVID-19 patients, including 395 recoveries and 11 deaths./.
