Three more COVID-19 imported cases confirmed, patient tally increases to 866

VGP – The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on early August 12 recorded three new COVID-19 imported cases, raising the number of patients in Viet Nam to 866.

The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on early August 12 records three new COVID-19 imported cases, raising the number of patients in Viet Nam to 866.

Patient 864 is a 36-year old woman residing in Can Loc, Nghe An Province.

Patient 865 is a 33-year old man residing in Cam Giang, Hai Duong Province.

Patient 866 is a 33-year old man residing in My Loc, Nam Dinh Province.

All of them join the flight VN331 returning from Japan on August 10.

After landing at Van Don International Airport, Quang Ninh Province, they were sent for medical quarantine in Hai Phong City. These patients were tested positive for the virus on August 11.

They have been isolated and treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District, Ha Noi.

Among 866 COVID-19 infection cases in Viet Nam, 321 imported cases were quarantined upon their arrivals.

Since July 25, Viet Nam has confirmed 405 cases linked to Da Nang City.

As many as 399 COVID-19 patients have been cleared of the virus, accounting for 46.1% of the country's patient tally./.
