One more COVID-19 case confirmed, total rises to 1,096

VGP – A 24-year old woman repatriated from Japan has become the latest COVID-19 case in Viet Nam, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said Friday afternoon.

The woman, native of Tam Dao District, Vinh Phuc Province, landed in Da Nang International Airport on September 30.

She is being isolated and treated at the Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

With the latest case, the number of COVID-19 patients rose to 1,096, including 1,020 recoveries and 35 fatalities.

The country is placing 15,013 people under quarantine and medical surveillance, of whom 271 at hospitals, 9,967 at concentrated facilities, and 4,775 at places of residence./.
