Chief of CPVCC Office recommended as next Secretary of HCMC Party Committee

Nen, who was born in 1957 in the Southern province of Tay Ninh, received the Politburo’s decision on Sunday to leave his current position and join the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the HCMC Party Committee.

The vote for the next HCMC Party Secretary, tenure 2020-2025, will take place during the city’s four-day Party Congress on October 15-18.

Nen began his career as a staff of the police department of Tay Ninh’s Go Dau District in 1975.

In March 2006, he became Deputy Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the local People’s Committee.

From September 2010 to July 2011, he served as Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

He became member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Central Highlands from July 2011 to February 2013.

From March 2013, he was member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Propagation and Education.

He was appointed Chairman of the Government Office in November 2013.

In January 2016, he was elected to the Party Central Committee and then Secretary of the Party Central Committee. From February 2016, he was assigned as Chief of the CPVCC Office./.
