VN confirms three new cases of COVID-19, total reaches 1,172

VGP – Two Indian experts and one Vietnamese repatriated from France were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, raising the patient tally to 1,172.

Patients 1,170 and 1,171 are Indian experts, respectively aged 41 and 34.

They flew from India to Ho Chi Minh City on October 6 on flight 6E9471.

Both of them are being treated at Sa Dec General Hospital in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap.

Patient 1,172 is a 22-year-old man from Nam Dong Street, Dong Da District, Ha Noi.

He took flight VN5010 from France to Ho Chi Minh City on October 21 and was quarantined in a concentrated camp in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

The patient is being treated at a medical center in Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s Long Dien District.

The same day, patient 1,126 was declared free of the virus, bringing the recoveries to 1,062./.
