Russian girl, Japanese expert among eight new cases of Covid-19

VGP – Viet Nam on Friday confirmed eight new cases of Covid-19, including a Russian baby and a Japanese expert, raising the patient tally to 1,339.

Patients 1,332-1,335 flew from Russia to the Cam Ranh airport in the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on November 24. Of these, patient 1,333, aged 1, is a relative of a Russian specialist.

Two of them are being treated at the Cam Lam Medical Center while the rest at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in the locality.

Patient 1,336 is a 28-year-old man from Nghi Cong Bac Commune, Nghi Loc District in central province of Nghe An.

He was repatriated from the UK on November 6 and quarantined in Nam Dinh Province.

The patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 1,337 is a 30-year-old Japanese man who took flight JL759 from Japan to the Tan Son Nhat International Airport on November 25.

He is being treated at the Cu Chi field hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Patient 1,338 is a 45-year-old woman from Ward 8, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City.

She was brought home from Russia on November 11 and quarantined in Ho Chi Minh City.

The patient is being treated at the Cu Chi field hospital.

Patient 1,339 is a 36-year-old man from Khuong Mai Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Ha Noi.

He landed at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport on November 11 on flight VN5010 from France.

The patient is being treated at the Cu Chi field hospital.

The same day, four patients were declared free of Covid-19, bringing the total recoveries to 1,170./.
