Two Japan returnees test positive for Covid-19

VGP – Two Vietnamese repatriated from Japan became the latest cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the patient tally to 1,343.

Patient 1,342 is a 28-year-old man from Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

He was brought home on November 14 on flight VN5301 from Japan and quarantined in Can Tho City.

The patient is being treated at the Cu Chi field hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Patient 1,343 is a 33-year-old man from An Dong Commune, An Duong District, Thanh Hoa Province.

He flew from Japan to Ha Noi on November 27 on flight VJ7837 and was quarantined in Thanh Hoa Province.

The patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Of the country’s patient tally, 1,179 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead.

Up to 15,375 people are being placed under quarantine and medical surveillance.

The nation has gone 88 days without a single local infection./.
