Indian man among seven new cases of Covid-19

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed seven new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, bringing the patient tally to 1,358.

Of these latest patients, one is Indian national and the others are Vietnamese brought home from Russia, France, the U.S., and the Philippines.

Patient 1,352 is a 10-month-old baby girl in Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province.

She was repatriated from Russia on November 11 and quarantined in the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

Patients 1,353-1,355 were brought home from France on November 30 and quarantined in the southern province of Dong Nai.

Patient 1,353 is a 64-year-old woman in Hai Chau District, Da Nang City.

Patient 1,354 is a 54-year-old man in Thanh Liem District, Ha Nam Province.

Patient 1,355 is a 65-year-old man in Que Vo District, Bac Ninh Province.

They are being treated at the Hospital for Lung Diseases in Dong Nai Province.

Patient 1,356 is a 17-year-old girl in Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa Province.

She flew from the US to the Republic of Korea on flight KE094 and then took flight VN431 to Da Nang on November 23.

The patient is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases.

She is the fourth passenger onboard the flight KE094 to have been confirmed positive for the virus.

Patient 1,357 is a 23-year-old woman from Duong Minh Chau District, Tay Ninh Province.

On November 30, she flew from the Philippines to the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on flight VJ2527.

She is being treated at the Can Tho Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.

Patient 1,358 is a 25-year-old Indian man who took flight EK394 from the United Arab Emirates to Ha Noi on November 28.

He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

The same day, six more patients were declared free of the virus, raising the total recoveries to 1,201./.
