VN confirms one new case of COVID-19

VGP – A 26-year-old woman who was repatriated from France became the latest COVID-19 case in Viet Nam, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The woman took flight VN5010 from France to Ho Chi Minh City on December 16 and was quarantined in Binh Duong Province.

She is being treated at the Binh Duong General Hospital.

Earlier, eight passengers onboard the flight VN5010 had been confirmed positive for the virus.

The same day, 14 COVID-19 patients were declared free of the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 1,353.

So far, Viet Nam has reported 35 COVID-19 fatalities./.
