Austrian national among three new COVID-19 cases

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed three new COVID-19 cases on Friday, raising the patient tally to 1,512.

The latest patients included one Austrian national and two Vietnamese repatriated from the UK and the Czech Republic.

Specifically, patient 1510 is a 23-year-old man in Gia Vien Ward, Ngo Quyen District of the northern porty city of Hai Phong.

He landed at the Can Tho International Airport on December 22 and was quarantined in Tra Vinh Province.

The patient is being treated at the Tra Vinh Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.

Patient 1511 is a 39-year-old Austrian man who flew from Austria to the United Arab Emirates and then took flight EK394 to the Noi Bai International Airport on January 5.

He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 1512 is a 59-year-old man in Nghia Do Ward, Cau Giay District, Ha Noi.

He was brought home from the Czech Republic on December 26 on flight EK340.

The patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

The same day, four more patients were declared free of the virus, raising the total recoveries to 1,357./.
