Five new COVID-19 cases bring tally to 1,520

VGP - Viet Nam confirmed five new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the patient tally to 1,520.

Specifically, patient 1516 is a 24-year-old woman in Kim Son District, Ninh Binh Province.

She took flight QG417 from Japan to Ha Noi on January 10 and was quarantined in Thanh Hoa Province.

The woman is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 1517 is a 24-year-old man in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

He flew from the U.S. to the Republic of Korea and then tool flight VN411 to the Cam Ranh International Airport in the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on January 1.

He is being treated at the Phu Yen General Hospital.

Patients 1518-1520 entered Viet Nam via Moc Bai International Border Gate in Tay Ninh Province on January 7.

They are being treated at the Tay Ninh General Hospital./.
