At the memorial service for Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong

Former Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong passed away in his hometown at the age of 80 due to old age and serious illness.

To commemorate comrade Truong Vinh Trong, the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government and the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee decided to hold a State funeral for him.

Delivering eulogy at the memorial ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh – head of the funeral board – highlighted that Comrade Truong Vinh Trong devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

In any position, he was always a bright example of political mettle, bravery, loyalty, and dedication to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people, stressed Minh.

The burial ceremony took place at 11:00 am on the same day at the Martyrs Cemetery in Ben Tre province./.
