Ten new COVID-19 cases confirmed in three localities

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed 10 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, raising the total caseload to 2,482.

The latest cases comprise five community infections in Hai Duong and five imported cases in Kien Giang and Binh Duong.

All of them have been quarantined before being tested positive for the virus, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Of the national patient tally, 1,566 are locally-transmitted cases, including 873 recorded in 13 cities and provinces since January 27, 2021.

As directed by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Ministry of Health is preparing for first injection of COVID-19 vaccine after the first batch of 117,600 doses arrived in Viet Nam on February 24.

The Government planned to have 150 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine this year. Front liners, including health workers and quarantine workers are among the first to be vaccinated./.
