Viet Nam confirms two imported cases of COVID-19

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed two new imported cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the national caseload to 2,509.

Specifically, patient 2508 is a 30-year-old woman in Thanh Cong Ward, Ha Noi’s Ba Dinh District.

Patient 2509 is a 39-year-old woman in Ha Son Commune, Ha Trung District, Thanh Hoa Province.

The pair returned to Viet Nam via Ha Tien Border Gate in the southern province of Kien Giang on March 4.

They are being treated at the Medical Center in Kien Giang’s Ha Tien City.

Of the national patient tally, 1,584 are locally-transmitted cases, including 891 recorded in 13 provinces and cities since the third wave emerged on January 27, 2021./.
