Viet Nam Confirms 11 New Imported COVID-19 Cases

VGP – An Indian man and ten Vietnamese returnees were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, raising the national caseload to 2,648.

The Indian man, aged 43, flew from India to Qatar and then took flight QR970 to Ho Chi Minh City on April 3.

He has been quarantined and treated at the General Hospital in Long An Province.

Patients 2639-2641 are Vietnamese brought home from the Philippines on March 29.

They are being treated at the General Hospital in Ca Mau Province.

Patients 2642 and 2643 were repatriated from Japan on separate flights on April 3 and April 4 respectively.

Patients 2644-2648 entered Viet Nam on April 4 via the Moc Bai International Border Gate in Tay Ninh Province.

The same day, six patients were declared free of the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 2,422./.
