Health ministry reports 203 new COVID-19 cases, two more deaths

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 203 new COVID-19 cases over the past 18 hours, raising the national caseload to 14,435.

The latest patients comprise 15 imported cases and 188 domestic infections in Ho Chi Minh City (107), Long An (22), Bac Giang (19), Binh Duong (22), Binh Thuan (5), Hung Yen (3), Phu Yen (2), Gia Lai (2), Bac Ninh (2), Quang Ninh (2), Khanh Hoa (1), and Hai Phong (1).

The ministry also reports two more Coronavirus-related fatalities, taking the death toll to 74.

One of the latest death is a 44-year-old man in Ho Chi Minh City.

He suffered from type 2 diabetes before testing positive for COVID-19 on June 16.

The other is a 68-year-old woman in the southern province of Kien Giang.

She also suffered from type 2 diabetes and hypertension before being confirmed positive for the virus on June 16./.
