National COVID-19 patient tally surpasses 15,000
VGP - The Ministry of Health confirmed three imported cases and 612 new community infection cases of COVID-19 over the last 18 hours, bringing the national patient tally to 15,125.

The imported cases include two Vietnamese nationals repatriated from the U.S. on June 2.
The local infections were recorded in Ho Chi Minh City (563), Hung Yen (11), Bac Giang (11), Ha Tinh (7), Long An (7), Tay Ninh (5), Bac Ninh (4), Hai Phong (2), Ca Tho (1) and Thai Binh (1), of these 23 were recorded in quarantine camps or lockdown areas.
Among the national caseload, 13,400 are local infection cases, including 11,830 cases reported since the fourth COVID-19 wave began on April 27, 2021.
Fourteen out of the above localities, namely Yen Bai, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Thua-Thien Hue, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Bac Lieu, Dien Bien, Dak Lak, Vinh Phuc and Hai Duong have gone 14 days without a single community infection case.
