Viet Nam approves Moderna vaccine for emergency use

VGP – The Ministry of Health has approved Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine known as Moderna for emergency use in Viet Nam.

This is the fifth vaccine approved by the Southeast Asian country, after AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Pfizer and Sinopharm.

Moderna is recommended for people aged 18 years and older.

As of 6:00 am on Tuesday, Viet Nam confirmed 16,136 COVID-19 cases, including 6,519 recovered cases and 76 fatalities, according to the ministry.

It also announced that 3,497,104 vaccine doses have been administered, with 172,994 people fully vaccinated./.
