National COVID-19 patient tally surpasses 123,000

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from July 10 to 6:00 am on July 29.

They are residents in 21 localities: HCMC (1,715), Binh Duong (406), Long An (179), Dong Nai (159), Tay Ninh (139), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (52), Dak Lak (37), Vinh Long (31), Khanh Hoa (18), Kien Giang (18), Phu Yen (15), Dong Thap (15), An Giang (10), Hau Giang (8), Can Tho (6), Nghe An (4), Binh Dinh (3), Bac Lieu (2), Dak Nong (2), Lang Son (1) and Ha Noi (1). Of these, 587 were detected in the community.

Among the national patient tally, 121,433 are locally-transmitted cases, including 119,863 documented in 62 cities and provinces since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence began.

Five out of the above localities have gone 14 days without community infection, namely Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Quang Ninh, Bac Kan and Nam Dinh.

As of late July 28, 5,321,839 vaccine doses were administered, with 496,630 people fully vaccinated./.
