VN’s top 10 brands 2009 announced

After two-month vote, the organization board selected 200 winners and conferred titles, such as Top 10, Top 100 and Top 200.

The most famous brand-names belong to the leading enterprise, namely Việt Nam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), Sài Gòn Jewelry Holding Company – SJC, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemical Joint-stock Co (DPM), Trường Hải Auto Company, Việt Tiến Garment Joint-stock Corporation, Kinh Bắc Urban Area Development Joint-stock Co. (KBC), Việt Nam Italy Steel Company, Gentraco Corporation, Việt Nam Electric Cable Corporation (CADIVI) and Hoa Sen (Lotus) Group.

To win the awards, the enterprises must meet five international criteria: (1) Competitiveness and market status of the brands; (2) Technology, environment and management; (3) Building and developing brands; (4) Business and production performance; and (5) Social contributions.

The awarding ceremony will take place on September 2 on the occasion of the National Day in Hà Nội.

Since 2003, around 1,000 brand-names and products have been honored annually, encouraging the domestic business circle to build brand names and churn out more competitive products and services in the era of global economic integration./.
