Giving poor children a happy Mid-Autumn Festival

VGP - On the occasion of the approaching Mid-Autumn Festival, many organizations and individuals have held cultural and charitable activities targeting disadvantaged children.

Lion dance performance is usually offered at the Mid-autumn Festival

The “Family and Children” magazine, Capital Media Company and the Hà Nội TV Station will jointly organize an art performance program named “The Fairy Moon” at the Opera House in Hà Nội on September 27.

Before the program, they have mobilized nearly VND 600 million to build three boarding schools in the central province of Quảng Ngãi, and give 150 scholarships to poor children.

The Việt Nam Circus Federation will hold a charitable program to raise funds for orphans and disadvantaged children in Hà Nội.

The Việt Nam Museum of Ethnology is, in coordination with the Japanese Kyushu Museum, organizing a program called “Mid-Autumn Festival 2009 – Colors of Việt Nam and Japan” to provide children a better understanding and sweet experiences of Vietnamese and Japanese toys and games.

Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel is holding a party for over 100 disadvantaged children in the city.
