Party, State leaders receive int’l guests

VGP – All projects implemented by the “Forever Study” Fund of New South Wales in Việt Nam will be successful, said Party chief Nông Đức Mạnh while receiving Governor of New South Wales Marie Bashir and a delegation of the Australian Fund on November 9 in Hà Nội.

General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh was convinced that the bilateral ties between Việt Nam and Australia have seen fine advancements in all fields.

The Party chief lauded the contributions made by Governor Marie Bashir for the two countries’ better ties, in the areas of education, community health, and exchange of knowledge and humanitarian assistance via the “Forever Study” Fund.

Governor Marie Bashir asserted that the Fund would continue granting the Southeast Asian country with further assistance.

* On the same day, in Hồ Chí Minh City, State President Nguyễn Minh Triết warmly welcomed Mr. Andrei Kostin, President of the Management Board of the Russian Bank for Foreign Trade who is leading a business delegation to work in Việt Nam.

State President Nguyễn Minh Triết underlined that the relationship between Việt Nam and Russia is flourishing vigorously.

Mr. Andrei Kostin briefed the Head of State about his entourage’s decisions to shake hands with Vietnamese partners in such areas as energy, automobile assemble, tourism, and investment funds.
