Attending the 8th session of the Việt Nam–France Financial and Economic Forum under the theme “Energies and sustainable development” on November 17-18 in the northern province of Quảng Ninh, Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải stated that, to meet its demand of energies for economic development, Việt Nam consistently consumes its available energies in an effective way while developing new and renewable energies.

In the time to come, Việt Nam will accelerate the development of small-scale hydro-electricity projects, make use of wind power, agricultural by-products and wastes for power generation, dry agro-produce with solar heat, and build bio-gas tanks in rural areas.

Mr. Hải revealed that the Government intends to finance programs on surveying, researching, piloting and building renewable energies-using projects; and provide financial and tax incentives to producers as a way to encourage them to save energies.
