According to the NA Standing Committee, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng receives some 36 questions, mainly on the efficiency of stimulus packages, operation and performance of the State-owned groups, credit assistance policies, education, transport, efficiency of the national goal programs, poverty reduction, administrative reform, and the results of the implementation of policies on agriculture, peasantry and rural development.

Poverty reduction

Deputy Đỗ Văn Lực (from Đồng Tháp) who praised for the Government’s stimulus packages, said that he would ask the PM to clarify the supposedly access of 20% of the domestic businesses to the Government’s credit preferences.

“I would ask the Government to value the efficiency of the National Goal Programs, including the program on expanding investment for 62 poor districts,” said Ms. Trịnh Thị Nga (Phú Yên).

She noted that during the past years, the Government has carried out a series of programs to improve infrastructure and living standards in poor districts and remote areas, however, poverty reduction has not met expectation.

For the issues, Mr. Huỳnh Nghĩa (Đà Nẵng) voiced his concern over slow capital disbursement for poor districts.

Agriculture, peasantry and rural development

Ms. Lê Thị Dung An (An Giang) confided she is wondering why the Government’s program on building rice reserves for farmers is so slowly deployed.

“I would ask about the Government chief’s role in speeding up growth and development in key economic zones,” said Deputy Lê Như Tiến from Quảng Trị.
