Three-quarter industrial production value sharply increases

VGP – The Ministry of Planning and Investment revealed that the total value of industrial production is worth of VND 70,700 billion in September, up 15.1% against September 2009 and 2.3% higher compared to August this year.

In the first nine months of this year, the industrial production value reached VND 574,500 billion, 13.8% higher compared to the same period last year and 12% higher than the year plan.

The State-owned sector sees an increase of 12.7% and the foreign-invested sector 17.4%

Especially, thanks to the operation of the Dung Quất Oil Refinery, the production of liquefied petroleum gas has increased by 121%. Other products with high growth rate are powdered milk (up 26.8%), sports shoes (25.2%), glass (22.8%), beer (21.6%), lorry (21.1%) and clothes (20.2%).

Many electro-mechanical products also soared, such as motorbikes 16.4%, cars 16.1% and air-conditioning 11.5%.
