Prime Minister appoints Chairman of Energy giant Petrovietnam
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has recently appointed Mr. Le Manh Hung as Chairman of state-run Petrovietnam.

Le will take on the position for five years, starting January 1, 2024, succeeding his predecessor Hoang Quoc Vuong.
The new chairman, born in 1973, holds a PhD degree in petrochemicals. He has held a series of senior positions at Petrovietnam and its subsidiaries before becoming Petrovietnam President and CEO in June 2019.
Over the past 11 months, the Group has comprehensively completed its financial targets for the whole year 2023, finishing 1.5-5 months earlier than the plan and exceeding 7-81% of the year plan.
Its total revenue was estimated at VND833.6 trillion, exceeding 34 percent of the 11-month plan, 23 percent of the year plan.
As of November 21, domestic oil production reached 7.71 million tons, exceeding 2.5 percent of the year plan./.
