Dinh said the funding was donated by the Association's members and others who love Romania.
It is expected to boost solidarity between the two peoples and partly help mitigate the impact of the disease in Romania, he added.
Romanian Ambassador Emil Ghitulescu thanked the Vietnamese State, people, and the Viet Nam-Romania Friendship Association for their warm sentiments and support.
He said he appreciates the measures introduced by the Vietnamese Government to fight the pandemic, the efforts of Ha Noi authorities, and the participation of the Vietnamese people.
Dinh added that the Association will also hand over VND 100 million to the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee to aid Viet Nam's prevention and control efforts./. VNA
