ADB finances PPP Support Project

VGP – The Government has ratified the negotiation outcomes, contents of the loan agreement and related documents for the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Support Project.

Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) Nguyen Van Binh was entrusted to ink the agreement with a representative of the Asian Development Bank.

Earlier, PM Nguyen Tan Dung approved the PPP Support Project worth US$22 million, including US$20 million financed by the international financial institution.

The project entails the use of an ADF project loan of US$20 million to fund the establishment of a Project Development Facility (PDF) that would help bring bankable PPP projects to the market.

The PDF would be used by government ministries / project sponsors to fund PPP project preparation activities which include pre-feasibility studies, full feasibility studies and the engagement of transaction advisors who would structure deals to bring to the private sector for bidding./.
