Around 1,000 artists join music festival in Quang Tri

VGP – As many as 1,000 actors and actresses from 17 professional artistic troupes of Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar are joining the music festival held in Dong Ha city, the central province of Quang Tri from August 12-18.

The event, co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Quang Tri provincial People’s Committee, aims to boost the exchange between artists and tighten the solidarity and friendship between the four nations.

The troupes’ performances are designed to praise the beauty as well as achievements of each country and the building of a prospective and sustainable ASEAN Community.

Addressing at the opening ceremony on Monday night, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien said this is the outstanding cultural event of 2013.

It provides a good chance for artists from the four countries to meet and share experiences in artistic creation labor, he added./.
