The Deputy PM required MOLISA, in collaboration with the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, to complete necessary procedures for the accession.
MOLISA will have to pay yearly dues from its budget.
The ISSA Section on Prevention in the Mining Industry is one of the
eleven International Sections on Prevention. It is a non-profit making
international organization founded in 1970, aiming to improve social security
in mining worldwide.
The Section consists of members engaged in occupational safety and
health concerning quarrying, coal mining and tunneling operations. Private
companies, public organizations, research institutes and experts on safety and
health as well as occupational physicians all over the world belong to its section.
As of December 15, 2009, the ISSA has 340 member organizations (263
affiliates and 77 associates) from 150 countries.
