Care service for HIV-infected children

VGP – Children living with HIV in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province have been supported and provided with various caring services in the recent two years.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province was among the eight provinces and cities around the nation that have piloted the care service model for children living with HIV/AIDS.

Specifically, in two wards in the province, services for children affected by HIV/AIDS are being connected with the six service packages involving health care, housing, education, psychological counseling, nutrition and legal procedures.

The province is now home to 175 children living with HIV/AIDS, of them 82 have been provided with ARV and 71 others have been supported with nutritional food.
