Construction begins on 3rd wind power plant in Bac Lieu

Present at the ceremony included Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Quang Duong and leaders of some ministries and agencies.

The plant has the designed capacity of 50MW and is expected to produce electricity in June 2021 with annual output of 61,000 kWh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial People’s Committee Duong Thang Trung said that it is the 3^rd wind power plant under construction in the province.

The plant is expected to help promote environmentally-friendly and sustainable development of of the locality, he added.

It will also help turn Bac Lieu into a center of renewable and clean energy in Viet Nam, he added.
