The prices of housing and construction materials in July continue to drop 0.47% because the real estate market has recently calmed down.

Transport, postal and telecommunications services have gone down in price by 0.94% and 0.07% respectively. Meanwhile, the prices of food continue to fall 0.97%.

Hà Nội’s CPI has increased by 0.25% while Hồ Chí Minh City sees a decrease of 0.09%.

The prices of US dollar and gold this month have increased by 0.38% and 2.15% respectively.

Such low increase of CPI is attributable to more stable costs for imported inputs for production and lower bank interest rates, according to local specialists.
