Flower productivity of Đà Lạt has been on the year-by-year rise, jumping from 88.6 million branches in 2007 to 95 millions in 2008.
Despite the global and national economic difficulties, in the first quarter, 27 million branches were exported, up 85% against the same period last year.
Flower area has also sharply increased by 20% per year on average. The city expects to provide 900 million branches of flower this year.
Meeting not only domestic demand, flower growers in Đà Lạt are trying to penetrate into foreign potential markets, including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Thailand and the EU.
Recently recognized as the grade-1 city, Đà Lạt plans to convert itself into a modern green urban center inside the woods soon.
