Da Nang continues social distancing with tougher restrictions till August 26

VGP – Leaders of the central city of Da Nang have decided to continue social distancing with tougher restrictions for additional three days from 8.00 am of August 23 to 8.00 am of August 26 to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases in Da Nang City from August 10-20.

Accordingly, all activities in the entire locality have been suspended while all residents are banned from leaving their places of residence (excluding urgent purposes). 

The local authorities only permit the following people to go out: COVID-19 prevention forces, emergency, medical examination and treatment, sanitation workers, electricity, water, information staff, and reporters.   

Manufacturing enterprises at industrial parks or high-tech parks are allowed to sustain operation with the maximum of 30 percent of their workforces at workplaces.

All public agencies and companies must ensure "three-on-spot" operation - which means production, meals, and rest after work at the same place.

The city has suspended all activities in the entire locality from 8.00 am of August 16 to 8.00 am of August 23 as a tougher move to contain the COVID-19 resurgence.

The central city has imposed social distancing measures under the Prime Minister's Directive No. 16 from 6:00 pm on July 31.

As of late August 20, Da Nang City recorded 2,714 COVID-19 cases since the fourth wave hit Viet Nam in late April, according to the Ministry of Health./.
