The Danish Industry (DI) and the Danish Association of Telecommunications, Electronics and Communication Enterprises (ITEK) will be VINASA’s direct partners to implement the three-year-term-project (2009-2011).

They will back VINASA in designing a long-term strategy; making reports to assess Việt Nam’s software industry; and raising capacities in building policies and IT manpower training programs as well as in managing, consulting and supplying services to software enterprises in order to improve the sector’s competitiveness.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Danish Ambassador to Việt Nam Peter Lyshot Hansen said that DI and ITEK have seen many opportunities for tapping with Việt Nam to solve the shortage of IT labor. He added that the Project will open the door for further cooperation between the two countries in other sectors.

VINASA made public that over the past time, Việt Nam’s software industry has constantly grown rapidly (over 30% per year) and is regarded as a potential market. In 2007, its revenue reached US $498 million, surpassing China, India and Korea for the first time to become the leading partner of Japan’s software enterprises, according to a survey by the Japan Information Technology Services Industry Association.
