Denmark to help central province in environmental management

VGP - The Kingdom of Denmark pledged to pour DKK 1.46 million (VND 4.2 billion) to enhance environmental management in Quảng Nam Province.

It is necessary to evaluate and supervise environmental impacts caused by investment projects

The Danish Embassy in Hà Nội revealed on Tuesday that this is a pilot project in the Capacity Development for Environmental Management and Planning Component (CDS), worth of DKK 20 million, under the Việt Nam-Denmark Development Cooperation in the Environment (DCE) Program carried out from 2005 to 2010 in Thái Nguyên, Phú Thọ, Hà Nam, Nghệ An, Quảng Nam and Bến Tre.

Denmark pledged to provide DKK 250 million totally to the DCE program.
The sum of DKK 1.46 million will be spent to evaluate environment strategy for socio-economic development plan.
At the same time, a contingent of qualified cadres will be nurtured to evaluate and supervise environmental impacts caused by investment projects.
