Denso to build an auto spare part factory in VN

VGP - Japan’s Denso group just revealed its plan to build a US $21.2-million factory of automobile spare parts in Hà Nội in February next year.

Covering an area of 50,000 square meters, the factory is located in Industrial Park Thăng Long I. It is scheduled to be put into operation in June 2010.

It is designed to supply sensor equipment for controlling air flow into the engine as well as electrical valves for controlling gas spirit mixture for the engine.

The sensors will be provided to domestic markets and other ASEAN member countries, while electrical valves exported to many countries.

To start the construction of the factory, Denso group’s affiliate Hamanakoc Denso has set up the Hamaden Việt Nam Company with a charter capital of US $12.6 million.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s master plan for Việt Nam’s automobile industry development to 2010 and vision until 2020, the country will need 239,000 cars by 2010 and about 398,000 ones by 2020.
