DPM receives IAEA Deputy Director General

VGP- Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai on June 26 received Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Denis Flory, who is leading a delegation of experts of the IAEA’s Regulatory Cooperation Forum (RCF) to Vietnam.

The Deputy PM thanked the IAEA and RCF members for helping Vietnam build up atomic energy-related legal documents, train experts and strengthen capacity of regulatory agencies.

He affirmed Vietnam’s consistent policy of developing atomic energy for peaceful purposes, developing green economy, building nuclear power plants, and observing international treaties on nuclear safety.

Mr. Denis Flory said the RCF delegation consists of experts from Russia, the US, Japan, France, the Republic of Korea, and India. Their trip aimed at holding seminars, discussing measures to improve capacity and authority of nuclear regulatory agencies in Vietnam to serve the management and development of nuclear power plants in the country.
