Education and training prioritized in VN-Russia cooperation

VGP - Việt Nam wants to cement and deepen the comprehensive cooperation with the Russian Federation, in which education and training are one of prioritized fields, said State President Nguyễn Minh Triết.

State President Nguyễn Minh Triết on Thursday afternoon hosted a reception given to Professor Fedorov Mikhail Petrovich, Rector of the St. Petersburg Polytechnical University (PPU), who is on a working visit to Việt Nam.

He underlined that Việt Nam always bears in mind valuable assistance of the former USSR and Russia today in nurturing a contingent of scientists who are making important contributions to the national construction and development.

Professor Fedorov Mikhail Petrovich informed the host leader about his university’s plan to open a branch in Việt Nam soon.

He affirmed PPM’s determination to enhance educational cooperation as a way to consolidate and strengthen the friendship between Russia and Việt Nam.
