EVN signs US $1.3 bln EPC for Duyên Hải 3 thermal plant

VGP – An EPC contract, worth of US $1.3 billion, for the Duyên Hải 3 Thermal Power Plant was signed on August 5 between the Electricity of Việt Nam and a Chinese partner CHENGDA - DEC - SWEPDI – ZEPC .

The contract also covers insurance for installation process of the plant which has a total designed capacity of 1,245MW with an annual output of 7.5 -8 billion kWh.

The plant will be located on a land area of 62.28 hectares in Dân Thành Commune, Duyên Hải District, the southern province of Trà Vinh.

Once finished in Q3 in 2015, the plant will meet substantial power demand of the southern region.
