EVN Telecom plans to exploit intra-Asia sea cables

VGP - EVN Telecom under the Electricity of Việt Nam revealed that in the first quarter of this year, it will launch a project to exploit intra-Asia submarine optical cable system.

With this cable system, EVN Telecom can establish telecommunication connections with regional transition centers in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, the US and European countries.

The project is a part of the company’s plan to meet the increasing demand for broadband and other telecommunication services as well as to guarantee the national telecommunication safety.
EVN Telecom has joined to major international and regional cable systems, connecting Việt Nam with other countries through three international portals: Móng Cái, Lạng Sơn and Mộc Bài

Besides, EVN Telecom has also operated some portals in Hong Kong and the US to create a global connection system.

Under its 2009 plan, EVN Telecom will continue to improve and upgrade its network’s quality, customer services, and CDMA 450MHz services so as to strive for a revenue of VND 4 trillion from public telecommunications and develop 4.6 million CDMA subscribers.
