Fire safety compliance under examination

VGP – The Ministry of Public Security has requested fire policemen to examine fire safety complicance in key areas nationwide in the wake of recent crazy blazes occurred in markets, high-rise buildings and production sites across the country.

The general examination, started in mid-February, focuses on vulnerable areas as schools, residential areas and markets to take out fire-causing substances.

Tough punishments will be given to infringements on fire and explosion safety regulations.

Since June 2011, 158 fires broke out in Hà Nội, claiming the lives of 12 people and injuring 14 others./.
