First mobile virtual network makes debut in VN

VGP - The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) on Wednesday granted a mobile telecom services license to Indochina Telecom Joint Stock, making it the eighth mobile network operator in Việt Nam.

Indochina Telecom will soon join in Việt Nam's mobile network market

The license allows Indochina Telecom to share a 3G network with Viettel, one of Việt Nam's mobile telecom giants and change the area of activity with other telecom operators applied with global system for mobile communication (GMS).

Indochina Telecom is the eighth operator in Việt Nam's mobile network market, after Mobifone, Vinaphone, Viettel, S-phone, HT Mobile, EVN Telecom, Vietnammobile, and Gtel (Beeline).

By sharing the infrastructure of Viettel, the operator does not have to install base transceiver stations (BTS).

However, it pledged to provide its customers with abundant value-added services and use mobile Internet service as a lever to make it different among others in the market.
