Foreign aids to Việt Nam Study Promotion Society, Tiên Lãng District and Kiên Giang Province

VNGOP – Acting on behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm on July 22 gave nod to the Southern Center for Public Health and Environment Education (SCPHEE) administered by the Việt Nam Study Promotion Society, Tiên Lãng District Medical Center (Hải Phòng), and the Kiên Giang Province People's Committee to receive some batches of medical equipment.

According to Document 4059/VPCP-QHQT, the SCPHEE was permitted to take over 140 second-hand medical beds and four odontological chairs  with the quality remaining 80 percent funded by the Medical Education Social Agency International (US).

Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm gave okay in Document 4060/VPCP-QHQT that the Tiên Lãng District Medical Center (Hải Phòng City) will function as the focal agency to receive a batch of new and second-hand medical equipment funded by the Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific (AFAP) to the Tiên Lãng District Medical Center, Bạch Mai Hospital, Việt Đức Friendship Hospital, Central Maternity Hospital and the Hà Nội AIDS Control Center.

Under Document 4061/VPCP-QHQT, the Deputy PM allowed the People's Committee of the southern province of Kiên Giang to adopt one electric computer camera 300  A et STARVIEW and one STARCAM 3000 XR with the quality remaining over 95 percent from French-Vietnamese nuclear medicine engineer Thái Thành Lưu.

The Deputy PM ordered the Việt Nam Study Promotion Society and the People's Committees of Hải Phòng and Kiên Giang to direct the beneficiaries to receive the equipment and check the quality in order to ensure safe medical examination and treatment in conformity with current stipulations on foreign aids as well as opinions from the competent agencies.
