Foreign foundation offers scholarships to poor pupils in central region
VGP - The East Meets West Foundation has decided to offer scholarships totaling VND 3.7 billion to 250 disadvantaged pupils in seven central provinces.

Under the foundation’s Scholarship Program to Enhance Literacy and Learning (SPELL), the pupils will be financed to pursue their studies from the 3rd grade to until the graduation of upper secondary education.
A scholarship is large enough to cover tuition fee, textbooks, school uniforms, and other fees relating to the study.
The pupils who have to walk at least 2km to school will receive bicycles.
Since its debut in 2004, SPELL has awarded 4,795 scholarships totaling US $4 million to poor pupils, becoming the biggest scholarship program in Việt Nam.
