Fourteen New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed, Last Patient Exits Hospital in Hai Duong

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed 14 new imported COVID-19 cases on Friday, raising the national caseload to 2,722.

All the latest patients are Vietnamese repatriated from Japan (seven), Russia (five), the United Arab Emirates (four), according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

The same day, 30 patients were declared free of the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 2,485.

The latest recoveries include patient numbered 2414 in Hai Duong Province-the epicenter of the country’s third wave of local transmission. Patient 2414 is the last patient in the locality to exit hospital.

As currently regulated, all recovered cases shall have to self-isolate at home for another 14 days after being discharged from hospitals./.
