Germany gives top priority to education cooperation with VN

VGP – The German side considers education and training cooperation a top priority of its relations with Việt Nam, pledging to facilitate the construction of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU), the teaching of German language and vocational training in Việt Nam.

Việt Nam and Germany, on February 8 in Berlin, held the 2nd political consultation at the Deputy FM level, focusing on ways to bring the bilateral ties to a new plane.

The two sides described the successful launching of the “Germany Year in Việt Nam” and the “Việt Nam Year in Germany” a good start of various political, economic, cultural, educational, scientific and technological exchanges in 2010.

Việt Nam highly appreciated the German Government’s continued ODA commitment for Việt Nam, even amidst the global economic crisis.

The Germany side underlined that education and training cooperation is a top priority of its relations with Việt Nam, pledging to facilitate the construction of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU), the teaching of German language and vocational training in Việt Nam.
