Gov’t Chief Approves Additional Funding For COVID-19 Fight

VGP – The Prime Minister has decided to provide VND502.9 billion (around US$21 million) in extra funding for the COVID-19 fight.

The money, sourced from the State budget, will be allocated to the Ministry of Health to purchase necessary medical supplies, chemicals, biologicals and equipment.

The ministry shall be responsible for managing and using the funding in a transparent manner in accordance with legal regulations.

To date, Viet Nam has confirmed 2,529 COVID-19 cases, including 2,004 recoveries and 35 deaths./.
